Business Succession Pros is a business growth and transition advisory firm located in Southern California. Our team brings together complementary experience in business ownership, succession planning, operations, and growth to help owners strengthen their businesses today while preparing for the opportunities and transitions ahead.
Business Succession Pros is based in Escondido, California. We help owners of established businesses understand their value, make the company less dependent on them, and plan a transition on their own terms, whether that’s a family member, a key employee or an outside buyer.
Our job is to help you get ready and make good decisions, and to work alongside the CPAs, attorneys, wealth managers and brokers you already trust.

Travis Catania
President / Advisor
Travis Catania helps business owners build transferable value and prepare for succession or an eventual exit. He advises service-based businesses across the United States with enterprise values of $1 million to $20 million, connecting business strategy with owners’ personal and long-term goals. Since founding Business Succession Pros in 2016, Travis has focused on helping owners create value for themselves, their businesses, and their stakeholders.
Outside work, Travis enjoys time with family, exploring trails, and serving at New Life Presbyterian Church in Escondido.
Sarina Daw
Brand & Growth Coordinator
Sarina Daw brings marketing strategy, operational coordination, and a focus on client experience to Business Succession Pros. She translates growth priorities into actionable plans and strengthens the systems that connect marketing, operations, and client success. Her work combines thoughtful planning with practical implementation, helping initiatives move from ideas to execution.
Outside work, Sarina enjoys the beach and cheering on her four children in their sports and activities.
Josh Godknecht
VP Operations / Advisor
Josh Godknecht brings 15 years of management and executive leadership experience to Business Succession Pros. Having owned and grown several businesses across the service, construction, and manufacturing sectors, he understands firsthand the demands of leading people, managing operations, and building a business.
Josh helps owners translate strategic goals into practical action. His work centers on operational effectiveness, leadership, and execution, combining an owner’s perspective with hands-on experience turning plans into results.
Outside work, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and their five daughters.
